Estamos en la recta final del año. Un momento idóneo para hacer balance y en el que es habitual que muchas personas se planteen contratar o renovar su seguro de vida-ahorro. Sin duda, a todos nos preocupa poder ahorrar de cara a nuestra jubilación y, al mismo tiempo, queremos sacar el mejor rendimiento a nuestros ahorros. Pero, ¿cómo lo podemos hacer?

Decantarse por una opción u otra no es una tarea fácil. Hay muchas ofertas y diferentes productos en el mercado, relacionados con los seguros de ahorro. Además, los términos que aparecen en el condicionado de estas pólizas, precisamente, no son fáciles de entender. Como clientes, es normal que nos surja más de una duda. Por ello, contar con la ayuda y asesoramiento de profesionales expertos como nuestros corredores es fundamental.

5 puntos clave para entender los seguros de vida-ahorro

Ahora bien, además de contar con el consejo de expertos, como ahorradores, ¿qué aspectos debemos tener claros, sí o sí, antes de contratar un seguro de vida-ahorro? Te los explicamos a continuación.

En primer lugar, por parte de la aseguradora os deben dejar claro si contratando un producto u otro podéis o no perder lo que estáis depositando. Os recordamos que el ahorro se invierte en activos financieros, y los activos pueden subir o bajar de precio. La clave está en quien está asumiendo el riesgo de que los precios bajen. Hay productos en los que este riesgo lo asume la aseguradora y otros en que este riesgo lo asumís vosotros. Lo primero que se asegura el corredor, pues, es que entendáis a quien le corresponde la pérdida si se produce.

Cuando el seguro de ahorro no tiene pérdida para el cliente (lo que se llama un ahorro garantizado) puede ocurrir que esta garantía opere sólo si ahorráis durante todo el tiempo previsto en el contrato. Por ejemplo: podéis pensar en un producto que os garantiza lo que ponéis más un determinado interés, si recuperáis vuestro dinero cuando os jubiléis, pero no antes. Puede pasar que, si recuperáis el dinero con anterioridad, vuestra aseguradora no os mantenga la garantía. Por ello, vuestro corredor debe dejaros bien claras las condiciones de la garantía si recuperáis el dinero antes de lo previsto.

Hay productos en el mercado que son ilíquidos hasta un determinado momento. Son productos de jubilación (el Plan de Previsión Asegurado) y, según las leyes, no podéis percibirlo (recuperar vuestro dinero) hasta que os jubiléis o concurran algunas circunstancias especiales. En caso de no querer ahorrar a tan largo plazo, los mediadores os dejarán bien clara la condición de liquidez del seguro.

En cuanto a los seguros de ahorro percibidos en renta, es decir, en pagos periódicos, hay que tener en cuenta que rentas hay de muchos tipos, y según el tipo varía lo que se cobra cada mes, así como lo que cobrarán los herederos si el beneficiario muere. Por ello, corredores como nuestros expertos os pueden explicar en qué condiciones, y en qué cantidad, se cobrarán estas rentas. Incluyendo lo que cobren los herederos.

Finalmente, tenemos el caso de seguros con participación en beneficios, en los que se garantiza una rentabilidad mínima pero se puede llegar a dar más de acuerdo con ciertas condiciones -la más normal, que haya sido un buen año financiero y se haya sacado más de lo previsto por las inversiones-; en este caso, nuestros corredores os detallarían cómo se calculan estos beneficios, y cómo se reparten.

Como veis son muchos aspectos a tener en cuenta.
